Almost Fearless: Making Money While Traveling: The Quick Guide

  • heatheronhertravels · 1 year ago
How about exploring ways you can make or save money from any property you own to support your travelling.

You can rent out your property if you are away for an extended period. Or do a house swap to keep accomodation costs down. Or go and be a house-sitter or house-keeper for someone else - while not actually earning you can make your money go lots further by reducing accomodation costs. Or use a social networking site to find other travellers who can give you free accomodation (you have to be prepared to reciprocate of course).

    Some great resources listed there...
I don't want to spam your comments here...but I recently posted an article on my site about getting a job in Antarctica.

While not truly making money while traveling, you get a paycheck, some awesome travel benefits and once your contract is up a free plane ticket to do with as you please, not to mention not paying for anything while you are at work so once you're done you have a lot of bank and can spend time traveling...especially great if you want a free trip to New Zealand or Chile...

    Again, great article!

English teaching, I did that part time in the Middle East, it was ok but if you decide to teach try to specialize in something – I taught Military English to Officers in the Qatari Army. No one else was doing anything like that so I was in pretty high demand so I could charge 50 bucks an hour.

I know a few people that work or have worked in Antarctica, it is by no means an easy place to live. Just google Raytheon Polar Services

But if you are clever and are willing to learn new skills you can make allot of money wile traveling – I have for the past 8 years

P.S. Cool Blog, good luck with your travels

Not attemting to spam either, just wanted to inform other travelers, in relation to what Heather said back in 08' about social networking sites. Im in the process of starting a social networking blogosphere for world travelers. The site is not up yet but being developed as we speak. Soon there will be a page where you can enter your email to get updates on progress, cheap travel deals, articles and so on. Christine, if you are interested in having reciprocal links to each others sites, let me know.

ALL THE BEST AND TRAVEL LITE EVERYONE
