That's a great story Matt - good for a laugh. I am a cyclist and would think twice about hopping on a bike in that heat with a couple who were obviously prepared. Good on you for jumping into an adventure with both feet! Have you been on a bike since?

Good story. Maybe that was really your saving grace. Did you really want to continue on for the next two days? Based on your description, I'm not sure I would have been able to!
